Ballet.id (Yayasan Bina Ballet Indonesia) is a non-profit Foundation founded by five Indonesian dancers and enthusiasts. Ballet.id aims for promoting excellence in ballet and contemporary dance by enabling an exchange between local and international dance artists and scholars.

The Foundation’s mission is to give an enabling environment for Indonesian talents to develop as well-rounded dance professionals through key and regular events such as:

The Inaugural 1st Indonesian Ballet Gala:
In 2015, Ballet.id produced the first international Ballet Gala in Indonesia with participations of dancers from Australia, South Korea and the Czech Republic as well as dancers from Indonesian oldest ballet schools. The Gala is also an effort to raise public awareness on the high artistic standard of ballet and dance, so that the public would support Indonesian dancers to achieve international artistic standards.

The Annual Intensive Dance Course (IDC):
Ballet.id’s one-week long IDC gives opportunity for Indonesian ballet and dance students to get a taste of pre-professional ballet training by inviting teachers who are professional dancers and experts from all around the globe, including from UK, Australia, Russia, and the Czech Republic. The 2018 program was conducted in collaboration with New Zealand School of Dance and attended by Asian Grand Prix Regional Scholarship winners.

The 2nd Indonesian Ballet Gala – An Inclusive Dance Event:
Ballet.id aims to present the inclusive nature of the art of dance in a program that combines the best of able-bodied and diffable-bodied dancers. International dancers from Candoco Dance Company, Queensland Ballet, Universal Ballet as well as the talented diffable dancers such as Mac Brew and Magali Saby took part in this inclusive events along Indonesian diffable and non diffable dancers.

Youth Ensemble Program:
In collaboration with West Australian Ballet and the Australian Embassy, selected young Indonesian dancers received intensive trainings from WAB and took part in WAB tour to give them the taste of working in a professional dance conpany. This program received award from Australian Minister of Trade, Tourism & Investment during Indonesia Australia Business Week 2017.

Community Program:
Australian ballerina Juliet Burnett kickstarted a community development program to bring ballet to children in Kampung Ciliwung area, thanks to full support from the Australian Embassy. After the relocation of Kampung Ciliwung, the weekly regular dance class was then transferred to Kampung Guji area in cooperation with Hore Indonesia. The kids perform regularly in Ballet.id events.

Other notable events are organized in cooperation with Asian Grand Prix Committee, James Cousins Company, West Australian Ballet, Korean Culture Centre and many more.

We are committed to bring the beauty of art and dance to all. We started our weekly dance community program with Kampung Ciliwung kids, and continue with Kampung Guji kids in cooperation with Hore Indonesia. With your support, we could reach more communities and spread the beauty of art throughout Indonesia.

Contact us for discussions on how you can be part of this wonderful program!

      Terima kasih

    Hallo,

Saya tertarik untuk mengikuti acara IDC2020 mendatang. Namun dikarenakan perkara covid-19 apakah acara tetap akan diselenggarakan?

    Terima kasih!
